Markham Museum Wedding ~ Carli & Matt tied the knot ~ Markham Museum, Markham, ON

We had a perfect summer day for this Markham Museum wedding. Temperatures in the mid-20s, sun and all sorts of love. Carli and Matt were an absolute blast to work with, with non-stop jokes and a lot of laughing. Markham Museum has so many gorgeous spots for photographers to capture, I could have continued shooting the bride and groom all throughout dinner but alas I had to share them with their guests. Sigh. If you aren’t familiar with Markham Museum, it is definitely worth checking out if you are into historical architecture. According to Wikipedia, “It is dedicated to the preservation of old buildings and artefacts from Markham’s past, especially as a rural village has become an urban centre. The site features nearly 30 buildings: houses, barns, sheds, a train station, a school, a general store, a church, a blacksmith, a harness shop, a saw mill, a cider mill, and many more. One of the oldest buildings is the Hoover House, built in 1824 by a Mennonite family who were originally from Pennsylvania.”
