Sarah and Mike chose to have their engagement photos taken at Jones Falls in Owen Sound as this spot had special meaning to them. This was one of the first water falls the couple visited together early in their relationship and subsequently the couple made “waterfalling” their “thing” together, seeing over 200+ waterfalls together. First off, I had no idea there were this many water falls in Ontario, second I’m pretty sure that Niagara Falls is the only other one I have visited. So when Sarah and Mike suggested Jones Falls in Owen Sound, the 3 hour drive from Ajax did seem a bit daunting at first but after a few minutes I thought “what the heck, let’s make this into a bit of an adventure a check it out.” And P.S. – driving along the Nottawasaga Bay on Georgian Bay at sunset is absolutely stunning (I should have stopped to take some photos but just enjoyed the view while listening to the radio). We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful spring evening and the bugs seemed to leave us along until the end when Sarah got bit right on her forehead (fortunately Photoshop was able to remove that bite). Thanks so much for encouraging me to visit Owen Sound Sarah & Mike, I’m so glad I said “yes” (lol, that is a bit of wedding photographer humour right there folks).
